When was skin cancer first discovered:
British scientists recently found that about 70% of skin cancer (melanoma) may be from the same gene mutation induced in the sun too many cases, the gene will lead to cancerous cells. This discovery will lead to malignant skin cancer for the better treatment. Related papers published April 7 in the "cancer" (Cancer Cell) on.
The gene, called BRAF, scientists already know that melanoma patients with the BRAF gene often been destroyed, but not sure this is the reason for induced melanoma or its result.
Corresponding Author thesis, the United Kingdom Richard Marais Cancer Institute, said: "Our research shows, BRAF genetic damage is the first step in the development of skin cancer. Understanding of this process will help us develop more effective therapies."
The researchers hope that through the understanding of skin cancer, the genetic mechanism behind the development of drug-related targets in order to repair the genetic mechanism of the imperfect.
